Nick’s Senior Portraits
I had a fun portrait session with my nephew, Nick, at Milwaukee’s Grant Park. What a beautiful location – lots of bridges, forest pathways, and access to Lake Michigan. These area few of my favorite senior portraits from the shoot.
The shots of Nick in his Varsity jacket and football jersey are two of my faves. He’s a starter on Waterford Union High School’s (Waterford, WI) football team, playing center, long snapper and defensive tackle. The shot with Nick in the orange shirt was taken along the lake. We found a great piece of weathered driftwood that served as the perfect chair! Grant Park is a great location; we could have spent hours there. It has the Seven Bridges walk, each bridge providing a slightly different look. Of course, the park itself has many wooded trails with beautiful light coming through the trees. The easy access to Lake Michigan added another great location option – and provided a completely different look for the images. The light was a bit harsh, but luckily I had my trusty scrim (and my other nephew, Jake) along to block the sun.
