Disney Hall Photo Shoot
Last year I hosted a MeetUp in Downtown LA where I gave tips and techniques on photographing architecture. Disney Hall was a group favorite and since that time I’ve been back frequently to do all kinds of portraits there. What can I say? There’s nothing in the world like a Disney Hall photo shoot!
On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of taking portraits of a high school senior from Manhattan Beach. She wanted to leave the “bubble” of the South Bay and venture to LA for a change in scenery.
Disney Hall is an iconic landmark which makes a great backdrop for portraiture, and because it’s basically one big multi-faceted reflector it provides beautiful, even light for just about every image.
I took hundreds of shots during our time together and was assisted by Kimberly Robles and Loni Romero who did hair and make-up.
Mary planned her own wardrobe picking some bright colors that popped off of the silver structure as well as black and white tops that made her beautiful smile the focal point.
Here are a few more of my favorite shots from this session.
If these images intrigue you, give me a call to schedule a Disney Hall photo shoot of your own. Whether you want a family portrait, an engagement session, stunning bride and groom photos, or even a business head shot, Disney Hall in downtown is a “magic kingdom” of it’s own.
